Subject: My thoughts on the Kindle Experience

Hello Amazon

What I like about the Kindle…

1.       It arrived within 5 days of ordering it

2.       It is small, light and very portable

3.       Great battery life

4.       Nice screen savers

5.       The electronic paper does work – very readable and all the options you could want for resizing etc;

What I don’t like about the Kindle…

1.       No support for epub format – if I had done my research and realised this I wouldn’t have bought the Kindle – I would have tried something else.

2.       The wireless is a waste of space, poor reception, clunky to set up and took several goes to connect

3.       The internet connectivity is a waste of space – slow to search, slow to navigate

An adequate book reader but if you want to do anything more don’t bother – get an iPad. With the Kindle buy and download books on your PC/MAC, maintain the library there and transfer them to the Kindle via USB.  You also need Calibre to manage your library and convert from epub to something the Kindle understands.

Thanks for asking and have a nice day
